Homebrew Competition
After it's success at the 2009 Festival, the Home Brew Competition is on again for afficionados and enthusiasts of a great brew.

Homebrew Competition Requirements
There will be a wide range of categories and brewers are encouraged to be inventive. To achieve the best bottle conditioning of brews they will need to be started in December/early January.
- Planned categories include lager, ales, porters, stouts, alternatives (ginger beers, meads or ciders) and an open category for best brew.
- Backyard brewers only will be eligible for prizes. Other brews may be entered and tasted but will not be awarded!
- Minimum of 3 x 330ml brown/green glass stubbies or 2 x 750ml king brown bottles must be entered or 740ml PET container
- Sorry, no kegs or pressurised vessels or containers larger than 2 litres
- Brewers will be restricted to one entry per category but brew may be entered in several categories
How to enter the Home Brew Competition
Judging will be held on Sunday 20th March, 2011, visiting judges are Hugh Dunn from Edith Cowan University Joondalup (Brewing Science) and representatives from Little Creatures. A beer exploration of brewing styles and tastes will be held following the judging of the brew competition and leading into the Junk Art Auction.
Home Brew Competition Entry Form
Entry forms will be also be available from Home Hardware Esperance, from mid December.
So whether your brew is is a lager, pale ale, dark ale, stout, porter, ginger beer, mead or cider get brewing - give it a go and if you need help just ask the crew at Home Hardware.
