Kidz Thingzz

Saturday 19th March from 10am - 4pm at Adventureland Park

The Kidsz Thingzz Marquee will be a haven of creativity for the kids, using recycled cardboard and bubblewrap, paint and plenty of imagination to create life size display artworks with local artists Phil Shelton, Susan Laing and Tm Fewings.You will also be able to create smaller pieces to take home.

Make hula hoops from reticulation pipe, create with play dough, get the little ones amped up at Toddler Run - a commando course for pre-schoolers, cool down on the water slide, chill out in the book zone, learn about fishing, blow bubbles, join in the try a sport activities, bring your decorated bike for the parade, learn about bike maintenance, practise your wall climbing, listen to music and finish up with a free performance by Junkadelic on the stage around 3pm.

Try a Sport Events

In keeping with our very retro Hills Hoist Logo the Try A Sport activities have a retro theme. We're bringing back marbles, skippy, hop scotch, elastics, bocce, croquet - all the games you have probably never tried but Mum, Dad and the Grandies will remember and do their best to beat you at.  

School Participation

All primary school students in the Esperance, Mallee, Hopetoun and Ravensthorpe areas will have the opportunity to participate in painting decorative hessian panels for the Festival. Thanks to Landmark for sponsoring this activity and supplying the hessian.
